The Ecrits Series literally sandwiches the new and the old. A frontispiece is the decorative illustration which faces a book’s title page. The historic Frontispiece of Victor Hugo’s famous book Notre Dame De Paris is otherwise known in English as The Hunchback of Note Dame.
